One evening in Sumba

The heat of a day in a sky, the coolness of a night settling in

At the end of 2024, I was invited to an artistic residency at Cap Karoso on the island of Sumba. This island, located in Indonesia, remains authentic to this day. The traditions and Nature that compose it are saturated in color and texture. Through this painting, I expressed the memory of the end of a day facing the sea where the sky was transcendent. Rose gold, burgundy, khaki and copper hues that cut through the sky and still carry the heat of the day.
