Lava beads, shells, pieces of metal mark out this Icelandic landscape
This painting was composed in the quest to express the textures and tints of minerals, rocks, sediments of a soil, a landscape and a wall. My discovery of Iceland has intrinsically enriched this textile expression. I was immersed in lava rocks, reworked metal shavings, fragments of iron with coppery reflections. Anthracite and hematite zones contrast to gradations of the browns and off-white shades of chalk. The variety of strata and sediments are reflected on this printed textile.

- Textile stretched on a frame. The piece is backed on an American crate made of raw wood.
