Lava beads, shells, pieces of metal dot this Icelandic landscape

This painting was composed by the quest to express the textures and hues of minerals, rocks, sediments of a soil, a landscape, a wall. My discovery of Iceland intrinsically enriched this textile expression. I added lava rocks, reworked metal shavings, iron fragments with coppery reflections. Areas of anthracite and hematite confront shades of brown and then whitish shades of chalk. The variety of strata and sediments are composed on this printed textile.
